Ceremonies are possible at Grünthal, but they work best in specific setups due to us operating as a public venue on most days.

Ceremonies generally work best when:
• You’ve opted for a full venue closure, or
• You’re planning a small, intimate wedding (around 30 guests or fewer) within the Greenhouse

👉 The Greenhouse on its own is often best suited to receptions and celebrations rather than larger ceremony + reception combinations.

Seated: Up to 50 guests
Cocktail-style: Up to 70 guests

The Grünthal Greenhouse offers a relaxed indoor–outdoor atmosphere overlooking the lawns and terrace.

👉 Best suited to:
• Wedding receptions
• Cocktail-style celebrations
• Long lunches
• Smaller weddings

This option allows you to privately hire the Greenhouse while the rest of the venue remains open, helping keep overall costs more manageable.

For intimate weddings of around 30 guests or fewer, it may also be possible to host both your ceremony and reception within the Greenhouse.

🏠 Whole Venue Weddings

For couples wanting a fully private celebration, full venue hire offers flexibility across the entire property.

Seated: Up to 100 guests
Cocktail-style: Up to 160 guests

With full venue closure:
• Ceremonies and receptions can both be hosted
• The Greenhouse can become a ceremony space, dance floor or wet-weather backup
• The Great Hall is typically used for reception dining
• Guests can move between the Greenhouse, Great Hall, Terrace and Lawns throughout the celebration

👉 This option offers the most flexibility for larger weddings and custom event flow.
